1. Our Commitment

SeedifAI, a product of NeesimEra Technologies Limited, is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) and applicable international data protection standards. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Name, phone number, email address, region, and farm details you provide during registration
  • Usage data: AI advisory conversations, crop diagnoses, marketplace activity, and loan applications
  • Device data: Device type, OS version, and push notification token for service delivery
  • Payment data: Transaction references processed through Paystack (we do not store card numbers)
  • Location data: Region and farm location (only if you choose to provide it)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing and personalising the SeedifAI agricultural advisory service
  • Processing loan applications and marketplace transactions
  • Sending push notifications and service alerts you have opted into
  • Improving AI model accuracy using anonymised, aggregated data
  • Complying with legal obligations and fraud prevention

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted in the EU (Neon Serverless PostgreSQL). We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and role-based access controls. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Paystack — for payment processing
  • Google (Firebase) — for push notification delivery
  • Google (Gemini API) — for AI advisory processing (conversation context only, not stored by Google)
  • OpenWeatherMap — for weather data used in farm advice
  • Regulatory authorities, where required by Ghanaian law

6. Your Rights

Under the Ghana Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@seedifai.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records kept for 7 years per Ghanaian law).
