Seedifai ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered farming assistant application built for farmers in Ghana. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Seedifai mobile app and website.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: Name, email address, and phone number when you register.
- Farm data: Farm name, size, location, soil type, water source, and crop information you enter.
- Photos: Crop images you upload for disease diagnosis via the AI Advisory feature.
- Voice input: Audio recorded when you use the voice input feature. Audio is processed in real time and not stored.
- Location: Your general location (region) to provide relevant weather data and marketplace listings.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, including chat history with the AI advisor.
- Financial data: Information needed to assess loan eligibility and track repayments.
- Device information: Device token for push notifications.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide AI-powered crop guidance and disease diagnosis.
- Show weather forecasts relevant to your farm location.
- Connect you with buyers and sellers on the marketplace.
- Assess your eligibility for farm loans and financial services.
- Send push notifications for planting reminders and important updates.
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI advisory service.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services which may process your data:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, push notifications, and crash reporting.
- Google Sign-In: Optional sign-in method.
- Google Gemini AI: Powers the AI Advisory chat and crop diagnosis features.
- OpenWeatherMap: Provides weather data based on your location.
- Paystack: Processes loan payments and marketplace transactions.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above as necessary to operate the app. Marketplace listings you create (crop type, quantity, price, location) are visible to other users of the platform.
7. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings.
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the Seedifai app:
- Open the Seedifai app
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Tap Delete to permanently delete your account
Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, farms, crops, chat history, marketplace listings, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone. If you need assistance, contact us at aliu@neesimera.com.
8. Children's Privacy
Seedifai is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
